If You Had The Courage

Luckily for you guys you don’t normally get quite such an up close and personal view of my face. But, sometimes a girl gotta do what a girl gotta do.

Now you will quickly come to realise that whilst this post was meant to be about new hair, 99% of it is actually going to be telling you how great it is to drink red wine whilst at the hairdressers.

As begrudged girlfriends up and down the country shout at their boyfriends in nightclubs – I’M NOT DRUNK AND MAKING BAD CHOICES, THE WINE IS JUST BRINGING OUT ALL THE TRUTHFUL FEELS THAT I HAVE BURIED IN MY BRAIN FOREVER. Genuinely.

When I sat down in the leathery spinning chair in Myla and Davis on Thursday night and wondered if I’d always been that ugly wearing a towel turban on my head, I was offered a glass of red wine or a cup of tea.

You guessed it. The tea bags lived to see another day.

Hey. At least I wasn’t as unashamedly bold as the woman next to me who didn’t even let them finish listing all the options. So we have tea, wine…YEP WINE I’M IN.

And as a consequence of said glass of wine being poured so generously. I have ended up with a hairstyle I never even knew I wanted.

Well my subconscious did. But not my rational, makes adult plans, takes the bins out on a Tuesday evening brain.

My courageous brain that makes you quit jobs and dump boyfriends and eat that sixth Nutella pancake. It reminded me that it’s just hair. And in the great words of Emma Watson – if not now, when? If not me, who?

So emosh.

This uncharacteristic boldness got me thinking about the things I would commit to when I have the courage (dutch courage or otherwise) and what all you lovely folk might do to your manes if only you could find the courage too.

And because I’m never one to back down from a random tangent of thought I got together with the wonderful people at Myla and Davis to offer one of you beauts a haircut at their lovely salons! Wine included and all (so you can make your courageous lion-heart decisions).

All you need to do to be in with the chance of winning is;

  1. Follow Myla and Davis over on their Instagram page, which is right here.

  2. Follow my blog on Bloglovin’ which is over there in the side bar >>>

  3. Then tweet me here to let me know you’ve entered!

If you’re feeling real chatty you could even leave me a comment below to tell me what you’re planning on having done and how much wine will be required to summon up the courage to do so…

A winner will be picked on Friday 26 February and emailed with details on how to claim your prize! Good luck everyone!
