If there is a more babe-alicious group of girls to hang out with on a Saturday than these girls, I haven’t met them. They rate doughnuts, salted caramel brownies and cheap vintage shoes.

Seriously, who needs other friends?

After a very long internet relationship with Liv (more like Twitter than Ashley Madison) which started in this fun little exchange, it was so nice to finally meet everyone IRL.

Also, side note, one of my most prominent character flaws is never being able to guess what height people are going to be in reality – seriously people need to be clearer with their dimensions – but all of these girls are just as wonderful as you would imagine them to be.

The best part of the day was getting to see the wonderful Shannon Wardrop sing her lungs out. She is seriously talented and I advise you all make a beeline for her website ASAP. She reminded me of a young Laura Marling – that is a compliment BTW – I love Alas I Cannot Swim.

However Shannon was closely competing with how good the spread was. A buffet of sushi and doughnuts – what more could you want? Oh no wait, I want a ton of banana bread with chocolate chips – Miss Purvis makes a mean loaf.

I am already eagerly awaiting the next market – put it in your diaries people!

Thank you to all the girls for organising the event!

P.S. Apologies about the state of these pictures by the way, the lighting was not working in my favour (blame your tools etc.)

  • Sounds like a super sweet event. espesh the doughnut and sushi spread! i love how cute and niche the bags are! xxx

    • The bags were my favourite part! I saw on Twitter you’re having a bit of a rough time at the moment – I hope everything is okay xxxxx

  • This seems like such an amazing and fun event! What exactly did you guys do?

Meeting people from online in real life can always be a bit of a shock, especially with voice, height, and mannerisms. It’s interesting to see how the kind of person we project online can be different!

    • We ate, chatted, shopped the girl’s clothes, listened to some live music!! It was really good fun :)
I know it’s so interesting to see how your expectations of someone match reality xxx

  • This is so cool, I wish I had sth like that in my place (:

    • Yes it was so much fun! I’ve actually heard that they might be doing another Bloggers Market in a different city! Watch this space!xxx

  • MissLilly

Yes I’ve seen a lot about the Bloggers market and seems pretty cool!!! Great idea indeed

    • You should definitely try and come along next time they organise one if you can get to London. I think they might be doing one in the North of England as well soon :)xx
