Breakfast at The Flour Pot
I tell a lie. This was actually my second breakfast. Because I am fat. But that is another story. The beautiful sheepskin throws are my favourite thing about this place, especially on this day because it was 30 degrees and I had that awful back of thigh sticking to the chair. BUT the sheepskin saved me. Sorry if that was TMI, but it seemed relevant. I had a delicious croissant – I was tempted by cake but it was only 10.30 and I’m not that crazy – and Earl Grey. I felt so sophisticated (even taking into account the sticky inner thigh).

Shopping at Workshop and Wolf & Gypsy Vintage
Workshop is definitely where the cool kids shop. The cool kids who have a mortgage and a beautiful house to fill with white goods. So naturally I follow suit. I just go for the candles. But it is worth a visit just for the sweet smells they always have going on in there. Like Jo Malone but less semi-basic-bitch.
Wolf & Gypsy Vintage is beautiful clothes at a hugely marked up price – think £150 for a vintage coat. So I look but don’t touch.
I also went and spent an hour in COS, but thought you probably didn’t want to see pictures of me trying on an endless pile of badly fitting culottes and then crying in the changing room. JK, there were no tears. But there definitely was a lot of cash changing hands. I need help.
Other shops to absolutely check out – Our Daily Edit and Nola Boutique.
Lunch at Cafe Coho
Because all that shopping takes its toll on a girl you’re going to be on the lookout for an Instagram-able lunch. So here you are. Don’t say I don’t treat you. I was going to go for the Halloumi with sourdough, cherry tomatoes and toasted seeds but I was worried it might be a bit dry?!?! (thoughts on this?) And disappointingly for you guys I can’t remember anything else on the menu…. But that’s life. Here’s a link if you’re feeling really annoyed at me.

Walk Off Lunch
Because I’m not bossy (who am I kidding – obvs I am) I’m going to let you decide where to walk off your lunch. But (as a non-bossy individual) I would recommend Brighton beach.
Be warned it will probably be absolutely heaving with people, but hey you’ve gotta get those ‘hottest day of the year’ pictures ready for the Daily Mail – honestly their ‘hot day’ archive is just a bunch of girls sunbathing on Brighton beach.
Afternoon Pick Me-Up at Jolliffes
Given the regularity with which coffee shops pop-up in Brighton, Jolliffes has been around for quite a while now. With in-house baked cakes and that all-white Scandi vibe that we all just go in for to lap up on Instagram etc. But be warned, if you’re really feeling the hanger, braving the crowds in Kensington Gardens will be a real test of your nerves.
