Cambridge Eats

Fitzbillies, 51 – 52 Trumpington St, Cambridge CB2 1RG

I’m writing this at the end of a very testing Monday. One where I had ALL the holiday envy and all the desperation to not have to get on the 7.55 am train.

I did envisage writing about the joy of a staycation and how dreamy Cambridge is (which it is, don’t let me put you off – the hoards of Spanish exchange students can do that instead) but instead I just want to be on a beach drinking Mojitos.

But Fitzbillies did a damn good job of distracting me for a weekend. Eat the Afternoon Tea, save room for the chocolate eclair. And then force yourself to try one of their famous Chelsea Buns (even Stephen Fry is a fan) and nearly be sick from all the sugary deliciousness. CHEERS TO THE FREAKIN’ WEEKEND.
